CricketWest Cup Awards

Another reasonably successful season for our WASTCA representative teams with the seniors now claiming 5 championships in a row and also making it 23 matches undefeated over the past 5 years.

The reintroduction of the colts was the most positive aspect in my opinion as it provided a platform to showcase the best of the best of our under 23 players within each association. Our colts made the grand final and can certainly hold their heads high with finishing runners up for the season.

Once again for the second year in a row the veterans put on a master class against the stronger sides but lost their way against lesser opposition only to finish lower net run rate and out of a grand final berth.

Thanks to our sponsors- Kookaburra providing two full playing kits for the best and fairest seniors and colts player respective which includes a bag, bat, gloves, pads, thigh pad and protector to the value of $1500.00 each

Armando Sports again provided valuable sponsorship for the best and fairest player of the series for the veterans.

Congratulations to the following best and fairest players in each division

As previously advised the board’s plan is to have a preseason function at The Camfield prior to the season commencement to present all grade and association award winners with the respective trophies/gifts.

A special personal thanks from me to the captains of each CricketWest representative team;

Daniel Baker (Colts)
Tim Overton (Veterans)
Brody Koelewyn (Seniors)

You represented your team and the association with pride and integrity
